Who is required to take a California driver education course?

If you are between the ages of 15 and 17½, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requires that you complete 30-hour driver education in order to get a California learners permit.

Enroll in 6-hours of driving lessons with Push Start Driving School.  Our professional driving instructors will teach you the ins and outs of driving and prepare you for the DMV drive test. We’ll issue you the 6-hour behind-the-wheel certificate of completion.

You are  eligible to take the drive test after you’ve held the Instruction permit for 6 months, practiced 50 hours with your parents, and completed 6-hours of driving lessons.

 

 

 

Are you ready for the CA DMV drive test?

Go online to Schedule the CA DMV drive test with the DMV.  Appointments are about 1-3 weeks out.

Some students opt to have us take them to the CA DMV Drive Test because they would like to use the school car or go with their favorite driving instructor.  We’ve taken many students to the San Mateo DMV, Redwood City DMV, Daly City DMV, Fremont DMV, Santa Clara DMV, Los Gatos DMV, San Jose DMV, and other DMVs.
